The Wireless Wander Door Alarm is a remote alarm system that can alert you when a door has been opened. The alarm comes in 2 parts:

  1. A door sensor that is screwed (or glued) to the door-frame of your chosen door
  2. A portable alarm that can be set to chime or vibrate

When the chosen door is opened an electronic signal is sent to the remote receiver, sounding the alarm and alerting the carer that the door has been opened.

The Wireless Wander Door Alarm has many uses, for example:

  • In private homes during the daytime (or at night) to alert a carer that a person with Alzheimer's or dementia is trying to leave the home, can prevent both day-time & night-time wandering
  • In care homes to alert a member of staff that a resident is trying to access a restricted area during the day, or has left the building during the night
  • In shops & public buildings as a mobile door chime to alert a member of staff that somebody has entered the building
The receiver has 4 settings: Vibration + High Volume, Vibration + Low Volume, Vibration Only, and "Off", allowing the carer to be in complete control of when the alarm is activated.

System includes all mounting materials and batteries.

Use a single pager to monitor multiple doors

A single Wireless Wander Door Alarm pager can be set-up with multiple door alarms. Simply select the amount of door alarms required in the option above.

Please note: Using the system in this way will signal the pager that a door has been opened, but not which specific door was opened.

AlzProducts Simple Set-Up

Wander alarm systems can be tricky to set-up, especially for someone who hasn't got much experience in this area.

Most of them involve the need to program different channels, DIP switches, and other technical aspects of both the transmitters & pagers. This can even require having to remove the case of the wander system using a screwdriver.

At AlzProducts we program each customer's order before dispatch, this means that your pager will already be paired with your transmitter (or transmitters) on arrival.

All that is required when you receive the Wireless Wander Alarm is the insertion of the batteries that are included.

Detailed instructions are also included, and our customer service team are happy to help, either by telephone, or by email.

Why doesn't this product qualify for VAT Relief?

Unfortunately many of our products are not eligible for VAT Relief, this is due to strict regulations from HMRC.

A product is only eligible for VAT Relief if it was "designed & manufactured solely for use by the disabled".

This means that products that fall into the following categories are not eligible for VAT Relief.

  • Products that were originally designed & manufactured for any other reason other than to help the disabled, even if they are now commonly used by people with disabilities
  • Any product that was designed for use by both disabled & non-disabled individuals

What is VAT Relief for the disabled?

VAT Relief for the disabled is a government scheme that allows the zero-rating of VAT on certain goods if conditions are met.

Unfortunately we cannot take verbal VAT declarations, this means you have two options:

  1. We charge the full amount (including VAT) but dispatch a VAT Relief Declaration with your order, once you complete & return the declaration we will then refund your VAT
  2. You call us & request for a VAT Relief Declaration to be sent to you (either via email, or postal mail), once this is returned & completed we can then call you to take your order with VAT Relief included
