A brilliant product which has enabled my mother to operate the TV independently. A little tricky to program however the extra instructions provided do work.

Ordered this for relative who lives on their own. This has been a good help although it would be useful to have one that had the buttons lablled as BBC1, BBC2 and so on.

TV Remote control for Elderly Friday, 12 April 2013 | Simon
Good product, good idea, think would have been better if only one button for turning both on and of.
but other than that great bit of kit, would recommend to others.

I bought this for my mum who has dementia. She is baffled by the L/R arrow buttons and I average 4 calls per day because she has managed to get herself onto a radio channel. She also asks the staff at her sheltered housing to sort it for her on numerous occasions. I thought it was the answer, but I'm afraid it's not.

AlzProducts Response:
Hello Janet.
This is Tom from AlzProducts, I'm sorry that you are having problems with your HandleEasy remote control.
With regards to your Mum accessing the radio channels by accident, you may want to have a look at our recent blog post on temporarily removing channels from your digital television:
http://www.alzproducts.co.uk/blog/how-to-delete-unwanted-tv-channels.html
Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help with the buttons on the HandleEasy. The only thing we can offer is a refund for your remote control if you believe that it is not much more useful than your previous remote.
I shall email you & we can discuss this further.

The Handle Easy is so simple that my mother picked it up with no trouble at all. This followed three call-outs of the local repair man in a week of pushing the absolutely wrong button! Thank you thank you thank you!

Easiest TV Remote Control Friday, 15 March 2013 | Karen
This simplicity of this control has put an end to the constant calls from my mother saying she has lost her TV programmes.
As even us more able younger generation also get tired of navigating the numerous buttons, and the need for two separate controls, we all want one also!
Although my mum has been diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimers, I was looking everywhere for a control like this and conicidentally found it on the Alzheimer's web site although it can be purchased elsewhere.

Bought this for my mother in law who simply cannot understand the multitude of remotes we all have and had restricted herself to one channel for fear of getting it wrong. It programmed really easily using the instructions provided (plus the additional notes supplied by ADP too) I set some buttons from one remote and some from another which caused it no difficulty. She has used it since and is now confident on the main channels...great product.

HandleEasy321RC remote control for the elderly Friday, 4 January 2013 | Judy
Generally pleased. Good to hold and easy buttons to use. Company dispatched quickly, despite Christmas period, and kindly refunded some of the delivery charge becuas of combining another order.
But - the device was not straightforward to programme. It took a long time for the new device to respond and read the signals from our old remote. (We still can't get the 'off' button to receive a signal, so the 'on' button has to do both! Another drawback is that you never know which channel you're on. Sometimes my mother carries on pressing the 'channel up' button, gets to high numbers, and then can't get back to the first channels without having to keep pressing the 'channel down' button loads of times.

HandleEasy 321RC - TV Remote Control for Elderly Thursday, 27 December 2012 | Andrew
My Mum who is 91 with poor eyesight and co-ordination is absolutely thrilled that she can now change channels, adjust volume and turn on and off with just one remote that has large buttons, instead of the two remotes she had which both had small buttons and was very confusing. This is a God send. Thank you.
